  • Before using a service, the service must be activated in the tab “Service settings” in the Preferences window.

  • Para poder usar Tucan se debe activar al menos un servicio.

When you activate a service, a dialog appears warning the user that they must accept the terms of use of that service, since that time is the user who assumes responsibility for the use made of that service. To read the terms of use should go to the web page of that service:

7 – do I need to check the links before adding them?

  • It is essential to check the links before they can be used. In addition this feature is very useful because if you download a file of several parties know if they are all before you start to download them.

8 – Tucan boots, but I don’t check the links, what happens?

  • This situation may be due to several causes:
    1. The services to which belong those links are not supported by Tucan. To know which services are supported read point 5 of this document.
    2. The services to which belong those links are not activated in the preferences of Tucan. Solution: read the point 7 of this document.
    3. You have not installed all of the dependencies of Tucan. Solution: read the file README (section: Dependencies).
    4. If you are using Tucan in Windows, it is possible that is not installed on the root directory. Solution: read section 4.2 of this document.

9 – why to stop link and a restart this does not continue for where you left off?

  • Tucan does not yet support pause downloads, so that each time you stop by any reason re-start from scratch.

10 – Pulse the button “Delete Complete”, why does nothing?

  • Currently Tucan only allows you to clean up downloaded packages full, so if the package has some links not downloaded it is normal it does not happen anything.

  • Currently Tucan only allows you to move full packets (not links loose), but it is only something visual, the priority of the downloads are not modified.

12 – I have activated the checkbox to save session when closing the preferences why the open does not load the session saved?

  • The system of sessions is not yet complete so that when the user you must load the session saved previously from the file menu.

13 – can Supports files .dlc?

  • The container .dlc is a system owner of the application JDownloader. Tucan is not intended to (in principle) handle it. In addition its use is based on the aim of preventing the reporting of links, but this is fictional since once open the .dlc with JDownloader (or the applications that support) links are visible and therefore reportable.

14 – What will happen with Tucan after the CUSL III?

  • Not intend to abandon the development of Tucan after the contest is over, when the objectives are met with which was inscribed in the contest (anonymous downloads, downloads, premium, ups…), you have plan to extend the functionalities of Tucan (for example: with a search engine).
